Joining the beauty sector after a long corporate career in wellbeing, personnel and training, Ulu Beauty founder Fiona Fox saw an unfortunate gap in the UK health and beauty industry around mental health awareness, wellbeing, and management skills.

 

From 2022, Ulu Beauty also provides training to other health and beauty professionals and salon owners in mental health awareness, safeguarding, employee engagement, equality and diversity, safer recruitment, professional boundaries, effective line management and more.

Beauty professionals are often in a position with their customers to notice important signs of mental health deterioration, stress, and safeguarding concerns, and simple changes in practice and staff awareness could make vital differences to our customers' wellbeing.
